#TBT Remembering a Bay Area Radio Legend

The radio community lost of their own this week.  John Mack Flanagan passed away over the weekend.  If you grew up in the Bay Area, surely you remember his big beautiful booming voice coming through your speakers.  In all my years in this industry, I’ve never met anyone who loved being a disc jockey as much as John did.  He was recently inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame and only a few weeks ago spoke about his tour in Vietnam at a gathering of Broadcast Legends.  Here’s a remembrance of John and his storied career:  JMF
