RIP iTunes

You read that correctly. Apple is phasing out iTunes as we all know it to replace it with three more apps.

Apple announced Monday that iTunes will be replaced by three desktop apps called Music, TV and Podcasts (similar to how these are on iPhones.) Don’t worry, though. your previously purchased music and albums will remain in each app on Mac computers.

iOS 13 is also on its way! It’ll include a dark mode as well as better Siri capabilities. A brand new Mac Pro will also hit stores soon.

If you’re worried about purchasing music on your iPhone, don’t worry. Users will be able to purchase songs and albums through iTunes’ Music store within the music app. You’ll also be able to buy movies and shows on the TV app. If you’ve got some iTunes gift cards laying around, you will still be able to use them.

For those of us who used iTunes to sync up our devises, Apple said a tool will located in Finder on MacOS.
