VTA light rail service suspended; trainee tests positive for COVID-19

Valley Transportation Authority light rail service has been suspended indefinitely.  One of it’s operators has tested positive for COVID-19.  This was discovered yesterday.  You can still take a bus.  The trains will be deep cleaned.  VTA says that one of it’s trainees tested positive for COVID-19.  That person is in isolation.  Light rail ridership has been down 82% since Santa Clara County announced the stay at home order earlier this month.

Because of the ever changing landscape, we ask that you please visit the official VTA website here for more up to date information.
