Sharks announce their decision on where to play with virus ban

When Santa Clara County said no gatherings of 1000 people or more in March, the Sharks had 3 choices: play their 3 homes games in March outside the county, postpone them, or play them at SAP Center as scheduled, with games live on 98.5 KFOX, but with no fans in the arena.

Wednesday afternoon they decided to go with choice #3 – play the games with no fans. It’ll look like the pic above – but during the game.

Here am with a fan that’s definitely not gonna like missing games:

This affects San Jose Sharks games March 19 vs. Montreal, March 21 vs. Boston and March 29 vs. Arizona.

Admission to games will be limited to home and visiting club personnel, approved credentialed media and broadcast partners, essential club and arena staff, and NHL officials.

The same policy will apply for the San Jose Barracuda games scheduled for March 17 vs. Colorado and March 22 vs. Bakersfield.

Tickets will be refunded.

Imagine listening to those Sharks games live on KFOX – with no crowd noise – it’s gonna sound weeeeeiiiiirrrrddd!
