I have made lots of excuses for coming late to work or soccer practice. However Alien abduction is one that I never thought of.

That was the excuse Guillermo Marino gave to team Universidad de Chile after arriving late to a training session during his time at the club. Former teammate Gustavo Lorenzetti retold the story saying “He started to explain that he was suddenly lost and abducted by aliens. He explained that they take out your soul, analyse it and all the while on the journey they are looking after you. He said something like that.”

Lorenzetti goes on to say that he believes Marino. “I believed in him because he tells you that way and if you know him, you realise that he is a serious person. He is the kind of person who will not be late anywhere, he is very correct.”

Maybe once I come back to the KFOX studios late or miss a day at the office I’ll try the abduction excuse.
