I bought my boyfriend and I tickets to The Stadium Tour to see Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett! It is slated to happen at Oracle Park on July 19th. As of this blog 5/1/2020 they still don’t know if it’s going to happen or not. Earlier today I read an article that there was a drive-in concert in Denmark that sold 500 tickets in 6 days! The band faced a huge lot of cars and played for their fans that could also hear their performance through their FM radios in the car. They were able to give a concert and observe social distancing.
I was thinking that I would rather have something like that than to not have the concert. Could I wait? Sure but if this was an option I would totally do it. It wouldn’t be the same, that’s obvious, but I would like to go provided that all the concert goers and the band members, crew, and hospitality workers were safe. I have no idea the logistics that would go into this I’m just saying it sounds like it would be fun if it could even be done safely.
In an article on April 24th in TicketNews.com Tommy Lee spoke about how it isn’t up to the bands what will happen but added, “By the time all this **** apocalyptic ***** is over, I think everyone’s going to be in a really good mood to go out and have the **** best time ever,” Lee said. “I really do. I hope everyone stays inside, and we can get a **** grip on this and get back to people having their normal lives.”
I think you’ve already gathered that the **** means Tommy was cursing in his quote. LOL.
I mentioned this on the air earlier and asked folks if they would go to a drive-in concert. KFOX listener Adam wrote in and said, “Yes I would do that. I have to go to a few shows every summer, but I would need Limo, Uber, or maybe just my Thumb.”
