Gas prices are through the roof in the South Bay. More and more people are thinking about going electric when it comes to their vehicles. Tesla just unveiled their new Cybertruck and Harley Davidson just debuted the Livewire motorcycle.
You probably won’t be hearing the thunderous sound of the typical Harley when it comes to the Livewire. In fact, it doesn’t have a tailpipe. Since it has no tailpipe, the bike leaves no emissions. It also doesn’t have a clutch. All you do is flick you wrist and the bike will go from 0 to 60 in about three seconds. You can also get about 200 miles on a single charge.
Some true Harley fans aren’t convinced. They want the original rumble of a Harley. One man went so far to say that the Livewire isn’t a real motorcycle because it has no heart or soul. All it is is an electric motor.
So far only 1,800 Livewires have been produced and price starts at $37,000. Harley Davidson is also in the process of developing other electric motorcycles.
