Do you want it to stay out front? Should it be hidden somewhere as a token nod to San Jose history? The latest is that the remodel of this iconic San Jose shopping center, Cambrian Park Plaza (at Union and Camden) is still years away.
The plan for this famous carousel display is to move it but keep it on the property that will be remodeled into a six-story hotel, town square, park, 115,000 square feet of entertainment and retail space, senior assisted living, townhomes and apartments.
The new owners say they “appreciate that Cambrian Park Plaza has been a focal point for surrounding neighbors for many decades and want the center to continue this role, so we’ve included a town square along with many large plazas and a park where the iconic carousel will be relocated.”
I’ve always like the wide open Cambrian Park Plaza parking lot.
I also liked the bowling alley (it’s closed now) and I like the Togo’s and Round Table Pizza.
Looks like we still a bit of time to enjoy it all!
