We are constantly seeing videos trying to prove how there are ghosts at Disneyland. I’ve always thought the only ghosts that are there are in the Haunted Mansion because well it would be the perfect place for them to hide! Think about it, this place is supposed to be kind of creepy. Honestly nothing is more creepy than getting stuck on that ride as you’re going down and backwards.
Well according to the Mercury News, it’s become a tradition to leave out a plate of shingle-shaped cookies for the “spirit” in the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland.
In 2001 when Disneyland introduced the “The Nightmare Before Christmas” overlay on the Haunted Mansion the pastry team would show up after installing the gingerbread house to find a shingle missing. One year they decided to leave out a plate of cookies for the ghost.
Since then they’ve left a plate of cookies out for the ghost because the ghost would eat off that plate and leave the gingerbread house alone.
This year the Haunted Mansion is celebrating 50 years. You can see the latest gingerbread house for Halloween Time now through Halloween.
