Sigh. It looks like our season is done, Sharks fans.
Yesterday the NHL announced they will be abandoning the regular season and will head straight into a 24-team playoff at an undetermined date.
Official training camps would resume no earlier than July 1, and the season would end with a champion in the early fall.
“We remain focused on the safety of our players, coaches, support staff and arena personnel,” Gary Bettman said. “We will not set dates, choose sites or begin to play until we know it is appropriate and prudent and are approved to do so.”
The San Jose Sharks have officially finished last in the Western Conference in the 2019-2020 season. There’s always next year!
