Pink Floyd are planning to reissue a limited blue vinyl edition of their 1994 album The Division Bell later this year to commemorate the album’s 25th anniversary. The Division Bell was the last original studio album from David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. The album features 11 tracks, including “Marooned,” which won the group a Grammy for Best Rock Instrumental Performance, and “Keep Talking.” The 25th anniversary edition is available in a translucent blue vinyl to echo the original limited blue vinyl release in 1994.
The special edition of The Division Bell is available for pre-order now and will drop on June 7. The album debuted at number one in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand and managed to climb to the top spot in six other countries. Speaking at the time of its release, vocalist and guitarist Gilmour said, “The three of us went into Britannia Row studios, and improvised for two weeks. Playing together and starting from scratch was interesting and exciting, it kick-started the album and the process was very good, it was collaborative and felt more cohesive.”
