Here is some good news about the Coronavirus. Crime in San Jose is down and has been falling since Santa Clara County started it’s stay at home order last week.
According to the Mercury News “violent crime in the city declined by 46%, falling from 101 reported cases to 56 cases in the week of March 15-21, compared to the same week the previous year.” and “The declines were seen across a range of reported categories, including aggravated assaults, robberies, burglaries and auto thefts.”
It seems like a lot of people are starting to see the severity of this event and are starting to stay at home, even the people that commit crimes.
