It’s no surprise that we love our San Jose Sharks on KFOX, but who knew San Jose was such a hockey city?! Well obviously we did. WE BLEED TEAL. But now research shows that San Jose is one of the best cities for hockey in America!
Hockey is on the rise in America overall. Both participation and attendance are up plus fans are willing to pay a lot of money to see their favorite team play.
Wallethub recently did all the hard work for us to determine the best places for hockey fans. They ranked 73 cities based on 21 indications of a good hockey city from ticket prices to performance of the city’s team.

It should come to no surprise that Boston is ranked #1, immediately followed by Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. Those cities are all naturally cold, haha.
