How could you have lived in the South Bay so long and never see it’s COOLEST MURAL?! I know the feeling, cuz I’m born and raised in San Jose, and I just found it on a bike ride!
You’ll find Los Gatos‘ largest mural along the Los Gatos Creek Trail as it crossed UNDER Main St., near where you head up to Lexington Reservoir, right along Highway 17.
It’s scene depicting an Ohlone village.
Here’s another angle:
Here’s the view when I turned around 180 degrees, facing the other direction where you see the cars driving on Highway 17 (the white SUV is driving north) under the Main St. bridge in Los Gatos.
The creator of the mural, artist Carol Huboi-Werry, organized a team of over 80 volunteers to help complete 20 by 75 foot mural in three months.
Next time you’re in Los Gatos for the free Wednesday or Sunday concerts, or for some great food on Main St., take a minute to check out this mural!
To make it easy on yourself, you can park at the Forbes Mill Museum parking lot and walk a short distance to get there!
Another reason why STAYcations ROCK here in the South Bay!
