Vince Neil gets surgery on his hand

Motley Crue’s Vince Neil underwent surgery on his hand this week.

He shared a surgery picture on his official Instagram page.

His hand wasn’t broken in the traditional sense, but it wasn’t working as well as it could.

Neil was afflicted with Dupuytren’s contracture. It is a issue that affects the two fingers farthest from the thumb. The two fingers become less movable over time.

The Mayo Clinic describes Dupuytren’s contracture this way: The condition affects a layer of tissue that lies under the skin of your palm. Knots of tissue form under the skin — eventually creating a thick cord that can pull one or more fingers into a bent position.

The condition more commonly affects people with Northern European descent.

Motley Crue has all but officially confirmed that it is touring again. The tour plans would contradict many promises and strong statements the band members previously made against another tour.
